PC800-40 Upgrade Question
Question:

Samsung Rambus RDRAM PC800-45 1Gb (512MbX2) ECC MEMORY I have in my gateway system 4 Samsung Rambus RDRAM PC800-40 512 (128MbX4) ECC MEMORY. If I Leave 2 128 & put the 2 of the PC800-45 1Gb(512mbx2) will it work in my system. Thanks
Answer:

You system will require  PC800-40 RDRAM as this is what you currently have installed. If you are looking for the cheapest way to get your performance out of this computer, I would install  512mb (2x256) PC800-40 RDRAM along side 2 of your current sticks of 128mb for at total of 768mb.

This memory is guaranteed to work and can be returned for any reason.
